MBJ Office Relocation
IAG Commercial represented Meyer Borgman Johnson (MBJ) in the execution of a long-term lease for the entire 20th floor (12,277 SF) of RSM Plaza’s West Tower, relocating their Minneapolis office at the 510 Marquette building across downtown to 801 Nicollet Mall. MBJ partnered with Perkins & Will and Greiner Construction to create a destination that supports staff today and well into the future, rooted in adaptable discovery of new ways of working. Through strategic programming, MBJ was able to reduce square footage while creating a space that feels more expansive, enhanced by distributed park-like settings that offer moments of openness and connection. The new space celebrates colleagues, clients, and community, creating an irresistible draw to the heart of Minneapolis. Kathleen John, Managing Director and Principal of MBJ, shares, “Our new office reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence. With abundant natural light and an open floor plan featuring a variety of inviting workspaces, the space supports our flexible, collaborative work style. It’s designed to inspire our employees, fueling creativity and connection as we partner with our clients and design and construction professionals to structure places that shape lives.”
As the post-pandemic, downtown office real estate market begins to emerge from a tough period, MBJ’s new space on the top floor of RSM Plaza’s West Tower is a beacon of progress. The space includes high ceilings, large windows flooding the space with natural light, and incredible views of downtown. These characteristics were major selling points for MBJ for impressing clients and enticing employees to return to the office - each is something that every business desires. This, coupled with views of various MBJ projects from the space, made this location perfect for MBJ’s next home.
