The Real Estate Journal awards the achievements and successes of top companies and professionals within the commercial real estate industry, each year. IAG is proud to announce the selection as finalists for three of our projects for the 2022 Minnesota RE Journal Awards:
- Most Significant Industrial Sale Transaction in 2021 Category: NorthPoint Purchase of Land in Cottage Grove
In December 2021, NorthPoint Development purchased a total of 292.27 acres of land from 5 individual owners, which were represented by IAG Commercial. With an area the size of 73 football fields, the Cottage Grove Logistics Center will break ground this Spring. The finished project will add over 3.5 million square feet of 40 foot clear warehouse, distribution and manufacturing space.
- Redevelopment- Education and Training Category- U. A. Plumbers Union Local 15 Relocation
UAPU launched a project in 2019 to consolidate its former Minneapolis CBD union offices and hall with its former training facility at the Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. IAG Commercial Real Estate embarked on a site selection and construction oversight process with UAPU that resulted in a new and improved office and union hall in Maple Grove, MN. The process resulted in a state-of-the[1]art training facility to serve both its journeyman members as well as its apprentice training program. IAG worked with UAPU to engage The Alliiance as project architect, JE Dunn as general contractor, Dunham Associates as consulting engineer and True North Consulting Group as IT/AV consultant. The project team worked collaboratively to develop a program to meet UAPU’s space needs within the agreed upon project budget.
UAPU’s facility goal was to re-engage its members and foster the brotherhood that has been a part of the union for 131 years. The new facility will ensure that young men and women will continue the tradition of the union, developing the Twin Cities, one building at a time.
- Redevelopment- Office Category: Small Business Center in Brooklyn Park
The Small Business Center in Brooklyn Park, MN will convert vacant storefronts into a business incubator that will give small businesses and new entrepreneurs access to the resources needed to succeed. IAG Commercial is proud to have played a role in the mapping of this center’s possibilities and in finding and purchasing this building for the City of Brooklyn Park.
